Twins' new toys!

Diane and I twin-sat Saturday night so we could have some playtime with the babies. Mom and Dad went out to dinner! Claire and Jake got some new toys from cousins Allison and Travis, a tunnel to crawl through and a tent to play in. Of course JanMa had to try both out right away.

Claire stands by the tunnel, JanMa holds Jake after he crawled through it.
After playing inside, Diane and I took the babies outside to the wading pool. Claire likes to stand up in it, and Jennifer had a towel to put on the bottom so Claire's feet wouldn't slip out from under her.
The twins discovered a new toy, the glass screen enclosure on the fireplace. They could stand up and see their reflection in the glass. Kids, like cats, seem to like the "home-grown" toys the best, wrapping paper, cardboard boxes, pots and spoons, and a reflective surface.
This video is of JanMa trying to exit the tunnel, and Claire following her through it.

After all that play, we fed the babies, bathed and bottled them, then spent the next few hours putting them to bed. One twin would fall asleep, the other would not. The awake one would wake up the sleeping one, so we played some more , then tried again. The wakeful twin fell asleep, and the other one was wide awake! Finally, both were asleep, just after 9:00 pm. Jeremy said they slept later than usual the next morning, wonder why!
